We offer land at a reduced rate for up to five years, at our Community Farm property located approximately 10 miles from downtown Asheville. This includes use of equipment, farm buildings, fencing, water, electricity, and other infrastructure for a fee. We also provide educational resources and land-seeking assistance after the incubator term.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Potential agricultural operations for the Farmer Incubator Program include: small-scale, pasture-raised livestock (beef cattle, poultry, sheep, goats, swine); annual and perennial vegetables, fruits, herbs, cut flowers, nursery plants; and bees. This program serves Beginning Farmers and Ranchers, Limited Resource Farmers and Ranchers, and Socially Disadvantaged Farmers and Ranchers as defined by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
