Newland Waterfalls Park – Newland, NC
Join the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy and the Roan Stewardship team for a volunteer workday at the Newland Waterfalls Park located in Newland, NC. This popular SAHC acquisition was heavily damaged from Hurricane Helene and is still in need of trail improvements for the many people who recreate here daily.
Tasks will include:
- trash cleanup
- brush clearing
- chainsaw work
- bridge improvements
- trail improvements
What To Bring:
- Water (2 liters)
- Lunch & snacks
- Pants
- Closed-toed shoes
- Gloves
- Hat, sunglasses, & sun protection
- Any trail tools you might prefer working with
