Join us for a day of fun and learning for the whole family! To celebrate the most recent seasonal release in our “For Love of Beer and Mountains” Partnership with Highland Brewing Company, their Big Briar Tart Raspberry Ale, we are partnering with our Sandy Mush neighbors at Long Branch Environmental Education Center. We invite you to come enjoy berry picking and a picnic on wooden picnic tables in the shade by their Rainbow Trout Pond where the cool breezes flow downstream. Also available: solar demonstrations, waterfalls, and hiking trails up to Big Sandy Mush Bald at 5,152 feet in elevation!
The Center is surrounded by neighboring properties protected by SAHC, and is part of the conservation community of the greater Sandy Mush region where SAHC has helped protect a network of over 10,000 acres of conserved land, including the publicly accessible Sandy Mush Game Lands. We have even partnered with the folks at Long Branch in the past to protect other properties in the area, totaling over 1400 acres, for the purpose of conserving and protecting wildlife habitat and valuable water resources.
