The first part of our tour will be focused around the resources the SAHC Incubator Farm has to offer to new farmers and an overview of the current farming operations on the land.
The rest of the day will be set in a workshop style: we will discuss how to be self-reliant in regards to the “basic skills” needed to keep a farm running. Stations will be set up focusing on the basics of:
- Plumbing techniques
- Electrical wiring techniques
- Carpentry
- Small engine maintenance
Note: This workshop is for CRAFT members only. For more info about CRAFT (Collaborative Regional Alliance for Farmer Training), click here.
