Learn how to pick varieties based on appearance, flavor profiles, maturity dates, and the type of preferred planting. In the last half of the workshop, you will see how to use online resources for crop planning and land layout to maximize your growing area.

Christina Newhouse is the Farm Specialist for the Southwestern NC RC&D Council and Program Director for the Smoky Mtn. High Tunnel Initiative. Her goal is to foster small farm viability that caters to a local market and bring innovative techniques to WNC.
