Join SAHC South Yellow Mountain Preserve Manager Park Greer for a moderately strenuous hike on the Beaver Creek Trail. This hike will guide participants through a protected watershed while exploring the human history, ecology, and geology of the region. At the peak is an overlook where everything seen is wholly protected by SAHC.
This 5 mile hike is an “out-and-back” mostly along old roadbeds with a few short, steep sections that can reach 45 degrees and a total elevation gain of 1100 feet. This trail is currently under construction and may have areas of uneven/rough ground and may be slick on inclines.
If you have questions before the hike, please reach out to South Yellow Mountain Preserve Manager, Park Greer at park@appalachian.org
