Land Trust Day was designated as a special day to recognize the efforts of conservation land trusts like Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy who contribute to the well-being of communities by preserving farmland for food production, places for people to enjoy outdoor recreation, clean water, wildlife and plant habitat, and scenic beauty. Conservation is an investment in local communities, improving the quality of life for visitors and residents alike. SAHC’s Land Trust Day sponsors pledge to contribute a specific amount or donate a percentage of sales from Saturday, June 7 in recognition of  SAHC’s positive impact on shared resources and communities.

Land Trust Day was created to coincide with National Trails Day. We invite you to get outside to enjoy your favorite trails – and shop locally to support conservation!
