Whether you are an experienced photographer, a casual photographer, or a novice just getting started, this event is perfect for you! Join us for golden hour in the Highlands of Roan for a winter photography hike! Travis Bordley, our Roan Ecologist, and staff photographer, will lead this hike. On this hike, you will learn landscape photography’s basic functions and concepts from an experienced photographer. This hike will be hosted in the evening, at 6,000ft in elevation, during the heart of winter, so brace for COLD WEATHER. The hike will start at Carvers Gap, wander through the spruce/fir forests and into open areas where we can enjoy the beautiful views and sunset. Have your cameras charged and ready because this hike will be full of scenery that you will want to show your friends!
