Many cultures throughout history and today celebrate the coming of Winter, from lighting fires to simulate the life bearing heat of the now returning sun to large feasts and festivals. Gather around our own bonfire at SAHC’s Community Farm and learn about the history of the Winter Solstice, the astronomy behind the seasons, and the mythological creatures that wander the winter night sky with piping cups of hot chocolate and smores.
