When: Thursday, May 31 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm
Where: Salvage Station, Asheville, NC
Join us for a conservation celebration by the French Broad River! Our annual Appalachian Spring event will feature LIVE music from award-winning artist Daniel Shearin and friends. You won’t want to miss this performance from Asheville locals who blend American and traditional influences to create an eclectic vibe!
The Salvage Station is a riverfront special events venue, concert hall, restaurant and full service bar located in the historic River Arts District along the French Broad River. Dinner (included in ticket price) will be catered from the Salvage Station and will include options for vegan/vegetarian diets.
This year we celebrate 44 years of conservation success stories, with over 73,000 protected acres. As part of this event, SAHC members will also honor and elect Trustees for the organization, and we will recognize the 2018 Volunteers of the Year for their exceptional commitment to conservation! We will honor French Broad River Academy students for their spirited and hard-working service — removing invasive species and assisting with trail building, shortleaf pine restoration, and much more at our Community Farm.
PLUS – every attendee at Appalachian Spring will receive a $10 gear card from Diamond Brand Outdoors, which works as a gift card for any purchase $20+!
Enjoy views of the French Broad River from the ample outdoor spaces of the event venue. The French Broad River Valley is one of SAHC’s six geographic conservation focus areas. Our conservation work protects high elevation headwater sources and streams flowing throughout the French Broad River watershed — including our recent conservation easement on the Marshall Watershed property and a section of stream we restored at our Community Farm.
