When: Thursday, May 31 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm
Where: Salvage Station, Asheville, NC
Join us for a conservation celebration by the French Broad River! This year we will celebrate 44 years of conservation with live music by Daniel Shearin and friends.
You won’t want to miss the music! Daniel Shearin is a singer/songwriter who experiments with different textures, instruments, and various “found sounds” to accompany his singing and finger-style guitar. In 2014, Daniel was a finalist in international, national, and regional songwriting contests, including a performance at The Lincoln Center in New York City.
The Salvage Station is a riverfront special events venue, concert hall, restaurant and full service bar located in the historic River Arts District along the French Broad River. Dinner (included in ticket price) will be catered from the Salvage Station and will include options for vegan/vegetarian diets.
As part of this event, SAHC members will also honor and elect Trustees for the organization, and we will all recognize the 2018 Volunteers of the Year for their exceptional commitment to conservation!
Enjoy views of the French Broad River from the ample outdoor spaces of the event venue. The French Broad River Valley is one of SAHC’s six geographic conservation focus areas. Our conservation work protects high elevation headwater sources and streams flowing throughout the French Broad River watershed — including our recent conservation easement on the Marshall Watershed property and a section of stream we restored at our Community Farm.
Bring your friends for fun tunes and a lively party as you share the world of conservation!
