The Preserve is home to a variety of rare wildlife, such as Golden-winged Warblers, Southern Appalachian brook trout, and Gray’s lilies. In addition, SAHC has set up a camping platform, a well-maintained trail system, and a moldering privy to make your visit even more enjoyable.

The Elk Hollow Preserve is located about 1.5 hours north of Asheville, NC, and an hour from Johnson City, TN. Please plan your trip accordingly!
