The mission of the Farmland Program is to preserve agricultural land in Buncombe, Madison, and Haywood counties in Western North Carolina.

Working closely with USDA-NRCS, NCSU Cooperative Extension, the American Farmland Trust, and local governments, we offer professional guidance for landowners who wish to permanently protect their farmland from development.
