The gray fox is a valuable part of our natural ecosystem. Its habitat includes well-distributed shrub cover, and in particular, dense tangled cover. They hunt in brushy meadows, but mature forests are prime living sites. Its food sources include acorns, corn, grasses, berries, and fruits in summer; meat of small mammals in winter.
